Travel Day

Dedicated to my wife, who arrives in London today. Leaving me and the dog to fend for ourselves. The dog who is currently glued to my side, though she is fairly relaxed. I miss Maggie already, but I have to be strong for Storm’s sake.

Suitcases are proof of canine intelligence. They know what suitcases signify. You pack for a trip and the dog goes into a depression. The minute a canine sees a suitcase, they know two things.

1. Someone is going on a trip

2. They aren’t going along.

She’ll be fine. She’s going to her favorite home-away-from-home, where we know she has a wonderful time.
