Today, casting about for inspiration and models, I thought about drawing a dog from the Austin Humane Society page. So meet Oliver, who is a beautiful and soulful looking guy and I only hope I did him justice. He and his friends are awaiting adoption. Visit the Austin Humane Society and see what sort of friend you can bring home. Just don’t show my wife Maggie, or we’ll end up with a houseful of dogs.

And I just realized that today (well, the day before this goes live) is the anniversary of the founding of the ASPCA. Darn, a day late. Hooray for all of their good work.
