I was going to do pure black and white, with the spots, ears, eyes and nose defining the dog (a nice little challenge, isn’t it cool how your eye fills in the details?). But Dalmatian’s have such beautiful eyes, such a beautiful rich color, that I couldn’t resist adding that little touch. I personally think it makes the piece.
