Sniffing the Flowers

I’m teaching Corel Painter and digital painting to kids this week, so here’s one of the demonstration pieces I did in class today. It’s based on a photo of my Golden Retriever, Storm, taking the time to sniff the flowers. She also took the time recently to sniff our basil plant, and seemed to enjoy the experience. We obviously miss so much with our limited olfactory sense.

You’ll probably be seeing more demonstration pieces this week, since I’m spending a good chunk of my day teaching. At least it’s a job that allows me to easily keep up with the Dog a Day Project.
