Skittles Redux

I did a piece on Skittles a while back. She’s a gorgeous Staffordshire Terrier, and she’s waiting at the Austin Humane Society for adoption. I fell in love with her picture, but we’re really not in a position to get another dog. If you’re looking for a dog, it looks as if you could do much worse than this girl. If you’re not in Austin and are looking for a dog, adopt. There are so many worth dogs like Skittles out there.

This one is pencil on printer paper, with a bit of smudging with a paper stump. I’ve been teaching digital painting and after spending the day working on a digital tablet, there’s a real joy in working with physical art tools, even humble ones.
