Speed Dog

Today I wanted to work with quick gestural lines that capture an action rather than trying to get all of the details correct. It’s an animators technique, where characters can be squashed and stretched and still be themselves. The action is more important than a “good” drawing.

One of those sites that give a word for people to use as a starter for an illustration suggests “speed” right now. This came to mind quickly, and I owe a big debt to Wile E. Coyote now that I look at it.
