I really enjoy Painter’s scratchboard tool, with its ability to lay down quick blacks and responding well to the amount of pressure I put on the brush. So here’s my dog Storm, asleep and rendered with this tool. It’s a simple thing, and just an exercise to work in pure black and white and practice my hatching.
