Dog Toy #3
August 11th, 2008
Another dog toy, and a bit more ambitious this time. Unlike my earlier ones, this one is put together using a glue instead of a tab and slot system. And he can open his mouth, was pleased I could do that.
Here’s what you need:
- The model sheet (click here to download the model sheet, in PDF format)
- Some heavy ink-jet paper to for printing the model sheet
- A glue stick (and maybe some transparent tape, if you’re clumsy like me)
- Scissors, and an X-acto knife and cutting board if available
It’s not too difficult: just fold at the lines, fold in the tabs and glue them into place. The assembled head is glued onto the assembled body. Glue the arms, ears and tail over the Xs marked on the model. The tail is two-sided, fold it in half where the sides meet and glue them together. Attach the tail and bend to your desired position.
If you want to send me a photo of your assembled dog, drop me note and I’ll let you know where to email it. I’d love to see it, as I’m sure you can do a better assembly job than I did.
