Archie Maquette

A maquette is a small statue that animators use to look at a character from different angles. I am not, umm, proficient at sculpting, but I AM stubborn. So here is Archie, modeled on an aluminum foil armature using an air-drying epoxy clay. Then painted in acrylics, which means messes and spills and repainted and “this is why Erik works digital most of the time.”

Tools Used: Apoxie brand modeling clay, those cheap acrylics from Michael’s
